MODES

MODES is the acronym of “Grupo de Modelización, Optimización e Inferencia Estadística” (Statistical Modeling, Optimization and Inference Group), a research group inside the Department of Mathematics (DM) at the University of A Coruña (UDC), Spain. The members of MODES develop their teaching and research activities on Nonparametric Inference, Game Theory and Applications of Statistics and Operations Research in general.

The specific research lines at MODES are:

  • Nonparametric Inference
    • Nonparametric density, regression and hazard rate estimation
    • Resampling methods
    • Goodness-of-fit tests
    • Empirical likelihood
  • Dependent data
    • Time series, nonparametric and semiparametric prediction
    • Local polynomial and kernel estimation with dependent data
    • Partial linear models with dependent errors
    • Irregularly observed data
  • Survival analysis
    • Censored and truncated data
